Common Queries In The Land Of Foo

May 19, 2008 · 1 Comment

There are two questions I seem to get a lot these days, in various forms:

  1. Are you still driving that thing?
  2. What, no ring yet?

The answers, in case you were going to ask the same questions of me:

  1. Yes, the Escort is still running, 11 years and 117,000 miles later, and still gets over 30 miles per gallon.  I see no need to spend money I don’t have on something newer or less odoriferous (and it does have a few smells that waft in and out, depending on climatological conditions; it’s been a bumpy road).
  2. Do you see a ring?

It’s only been eight months.  I’m not quite 30 1/2.  We still don’t know if it’s possible for our cats to live in the same house long-term (though just a few moments ago a friend recommended imitation cat pheromone).  No need to rush - things that grow too fast tend to die quickly and painfully.  For now it is a glorious thing to simply live and be happy.

The cat pheremone really works. Damn expensive but it works. But anything that calms down the Taz is worth it. Who thinks of these things, I don’t know…
