I am hoping in “The Next House” we can get a pellet stove installed. I’ll reevaluate wood burning technology at that point, but pellets appeal to the side of me that wants the practicality of using what would otherwise be waste. It doesn’t have the same visual appeal as logs crackling in the fire, but if it is an efficient heater, I’ll take it. I’m already not looking forward to this coming winter with my only option being oil… ow, ow, and ow again, I say!

I guess that means Navarre will be taking on the time honored tradition of sturdy New England men — chopping wood.
