My life, up to now, minus the juicy bits:

  • November 26, 1977 - I was born on a Saturday morning in Washington, DC.
  • May, 1978 - I was baptized Catholic and that was the extent of my childhood formal religious formation.
  • July 7, 1979 - My little brother Edmund was born on a Saturday morning in Olney, Maryland.
  • Spring, 1980 - The family made its escape from Metro DC and settled near Woodsville, NH.
  • Early 1983 - My parents separated.
  • August 18, 1984 - My mom and my step-dad were married on the deck of our house in Bath, NH. Between the two of them they had four children between the ages of five and seven.
  • 1985-1987 - We lived near Albany, NY for a time.
  • 1989 - Moved to NH’s Monadnock region where step-dad was the new forest ranger.
  • 1991 - We settled in Marlow, NH.  If you’ve ever been to Marlow you know it’s full of people who have settled ;)
  • 1991 - I stopped eating red meat.
  • 1992 - I decided I was an atheist.
  • Summer, 1994 - Attended the St. Pauls Advanced Studies Program in Concord where I studied German.
  • Fall, 1994 - I was a co-captain of the KHS cross country team.
  • June, 1995 - I graduated from Keene High School.
  • Fall, 1995 - I spent a semester at Middlebury College.  I decided I had to get the heck out of there less than a month in.
  • April, 1996 - I started work at the new Red Lobster in Keene.
  • Fall, 1996 - I moved to Dover, NH, entered the University of New Hampshire as a transfer student and also transferred to the Red Lobster restaurant in Newington, NH.
  • January 4, 1997 - I purchased a brand-new Ford Escort.
  • April 8, 1997 - Edmund died in a car accident.  He was seventeen years old.
  • September, 1997 - Mom and I adopted kittens Pasquale and Nora from the Monadnock Humane Society.
  • April, 1998 - My one turn as a thespian in a play written and directed by a friend desperate for an actress.
  • May, 1998 - elected Phi Beta Kappa.
  • October, 1998 - I finally resigned from my position at the Red Lobster.
  • May 22, 1999 - I graduated from UNH with a BA in English.
  • August, 1999 - Having nothing better to do and nowhere else to go, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where I finally learned to ski and was immersed in Mormon culture.
  • March, 2001 - Moved back home to NH.
  • July, 2001 - I started a temp job at an insurance company that later morphed into a full-time regular job.
  • August 1, 2001 - A thought passed through my head that I should go to law school and no counter-thought followed it so I decided to go to law school.  No where in that thought process did I decide I wanted to be a lawyer.
  • August, 2002 - I moved to Boston and entered the Boston University School of Law.
  • November, 2002 - My dad was elected a Grafton County representative to the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
  • May, 2003 - Pasquale suffered a bad bout of lower urinary tract disease and nearly died.
  • December, 2003 - My cat Nora was killed in an incident that may or may not have involved my step-brother’s neurotic dog.
  • 2003-2004 - I served as Secretary of the BU Law chapter of the Federalist Society.
  • Summer, 2004 - I was a legal intern in the litigation bureau of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
  • 2004-2005 - I served as an Executive Editor of the Public Interest Law Journal.
  • January 26, 2005 - “The Foo Weather Report” was born.
  • May 22, 2005 - I graduated from law school.
  • July, 2005 - I sat for the Massachusetts bar exam.
  • August, 2005 - I started going to church at St. Gabriels Parish in Brighton, decided I did believe in God after all, and soon started RCIA.
  • December, 2005 - admitted to the Massachusetts bar.
  • Easter Vigil, 2006 - I was confirmed at St. Gabriels.
  • May, 2006 - My parents sold the house in Marlow and moved to Lempster, NH where they own and operate Ashuelot Valley Outdoor Power Equipment.
  • June, 2006 - Having found nothing better to do with my over-educated self, I got a job as a lawyer at a small firm in Fitchburg, MA and moved to Leominster.  The practice consisted mostly of bankruptcy related work.
  • November, 2006 - I participated in, and “won,” National Novel Writing Month.
  • January, 2007 - I adopted my cat Betty from the Pat Brody Shelter For Cats.
  • March, 2007 - Having decided that I hated being a lawyer, I quit my job.
  • June 11, 2007 - I started a new job in underwriting at the same insurance company I had worked at before law school.
  • June 22, 2007 - With generous financial support from my dad, I bought my cute little house.
  • September, 2007 - I signed up for Match.com and within days started emailing with a fellow who was a “100% match.”
  • September 27, 2007 - Blizzard and I had our first date.
  • February, 2008 - I got my own domain: bunnythefoo.com
  • July 13, 2008 - My Escort sputtered and died, never to go again.
